Artist Statement:

Native Americans called it a magic moment, a place of Good Medicine. It can be found just around the bend of a river or over the next ridge. Whether it's the way light filters through the trees or falls on the forest floor, or even the sight of a single leaf floating on a puddle, this scene can evoke feelings of tranquility, harmony, or euphoria. It affects each person uniquely, but it is universally considered healing to the soul. This healing power has inspired songwriters, poets, artists, and photographers, including myself. Growing up in the outdoors of Colorado, I developed a deep connection with nature. Walking and immersing myself in nature not only inspired me, but also helped me navigate life's challenges. When I started photography in 1976, I found a way to visually express my love for Mother Earth through the lens of a camera. Through my photography, I strive to capture and convey the magic of those moments, offering you a glimpse into the beauty and healing power of the natural world.
